PRESS: Min offers to open Russians’ data to law enforcement officers

MOSCOW, Jan 29 (PRIME) – New Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev has suggested opening online access to state data, information of banks, mobile operators and Internet services about Russians for all authorized officers involved in intelligence operations by 2024, business daily Vedomosti reported on Wednesday.

The paper quoted the minister’s presentation of a digital economy development strategy in the interests of citizens, business and the state to the State Council, regional representatives, ministries’ and agencies’ officials as well as IT companies and experts.

Under the medical services program, Shadayev wants Russians to get access to their electronic medical records, results of analysis and the like.

The minister also said that the main purpose of digitalization of state services is to reduce the time spent by Russians on communication with the authorities to three hours a year maximum.
